PostSubject: International Military Report (MT/PMT) - March 2011   International Military Report (MT/PMT) - March 2011 Icon_minitimeWed Mar 02, 2011 3:57 am

This is the (still) irregularly updated MT/PMT International Military Report, published by yours truly, Panzersharkcat! The last time I published an MT/PMT report was in September. However, since I am starting over with using RP population and am too lazy to adjust previous calculations, future reports will be using this one as the benchmark. To minimize bias, I will be using Burn's formula in combination with the RP population and adjust accordingly. This is also slightly different from the others in that I no longer bother with the trade deficit/surplus and currency strength stats, since those don't factor into the formula.

Overall

Burn's formula
International Military Report (MT/PMT) - March 2011 Milscore

Format:
Raw score - Relative score: Nation
Description
Raw score - Relative score: Nation
Description

7.2486759 - 10 : Greater Switzerland
Ironically, the superpower. Second to none in economy and defense spending, with the second largest navy, the second largest air force, and a brigade of rocketeer troops. The people of this planet ought to be thankful that they are about as neutral a state as an empire can be.
3.1614154 - 4.361 : Alanda and Alexia
They may not look that good in comparison to the raw score of the Swiss, but enemies of this nation, beware. The third highest defense spending, the second largest population, the largest air force and the largest navy are not to be trifled with. If not for the existence of the Swiss, this nation would be top dog of the planet.
2.9395821 - 4.055 : The United Municipalities
Disproportionally powerful for its size. The second largest per capita GDP, the second largest defense budget, and highly advanced technology score this nation a respectable 4.
2.2422576 - 3.093 : Bismouth
A minor power. A fair economy, decent population size, a pretty high defense budget. It would get killed by the above two if they fought but it'd put up a pretty good fight.
1.6306012 - 2.250 : Caesar's Legion
Machetes, small arms, and howitzers vs jet fighters, gunships, aircraft carriers, and battle tanks. Though supplemented by integrated ex-Enclave personnel, this economically poor nation will get flattened by any nation above Bismouth in the rankings. Conceivably, the Legion could eventually overrun the United Municipalities with sheer numbers if such a war occurred, but the casualties they would sustain would make the late Legatus Lanius shudder.
0.3104667 - 0.428 : New Vegas
A lovely tourist location for people to gamble away money... and that's about it. Defense-wise, Securitrons are the only real threat and they are not that large in number.
0.1266799 - 0.175 : Kahndaq
A minor nation, completely unremarkable but for the fact that the ruling family is powered by the magic of the ancient Egyptian gods. A tourist attraction at best.
0.00023401 - 0.000322 : The North African Enclave Remnant
Piddling irrelevance on the world stage. The only reason this place gets any notice at all is the fact that the people here are ex-Enclave personnel and have valuable knowledge.
? - ? : The DC Enclave
They've pretty much been vanquished, and so no ranking is available for them.

But Bismouth likes being third. There is no reason for A&A to go and waltz into first Wink

Now that you are using the formula, it puts Rut's score of 46 into perspective, don't it. Razz

Heh. Didn't know you needed that.

A&A - 650 Million

Enclave (remaining in the old US) - would rather not say due to the fact it'd be a spoiler.

Caesar's Legion - 430 Million (They are PMT as well. While they don't like using PMT stuff, they do have training with it and will use it if necessary)

New Vegas - 48 Million

Obviously, DC Enclave should be LAST on the list as they're not even an official country anymore. I'm too tired to mess with adjusting the military spending at the moment. Heh.

Finished. Yeah, I'm being kind of mean to the Legion.

Pfft, even Bismouth could take out the Legion. Well, if the Legion attacked them anyway. Not much in the way of offensive capability for Bismouth; it's almost all defensive.

I think the Legion would get screwed by scurvy or storms crossing the Atlantic if they tried to attack Bismouth, anyway. The Swiss would probably not let them cross the Strait of Gibraltar so they'd have to either land in North Africa and cross the desert to attack or go around the rest of Africa, which would an even bigger pain in the ass. If they try to take out the Remnants along the way, they will be faced with a very angry Empire. So it's never going to happen. Caesar would not be stupid enough to try.
