The History of New Kashyyyk

New Kashyyyk was found when several ships containing Wookiees landed in Iceland in 1812 AD. They proved intelligent and, despite discrimination, eventually outnumbered the native Icelandic population. Bowcasters helped, though they ran out of ammo for that after a few years and had to resort to crossbows and rifles. Over time, the Wookiees and the natives made peace and ended up organizing into a big anarchist commune, organized similarly to that of the Icelandic Commonwealth in the period between 930 and 1262. There is no real military, just a lot of people with crossbows and rifles.
