The two ships jump to the Otherside just where they need to be, launch MIDAS, and disappear again.
The Dark Burninite supership is utterly destroyed, taking the Alterro Device's signal with it.
From the scene of the fighting, the Craftworlds disappear, reappearing in realspace in the location of old Burnination. They are followed by the remaining Burninite fleet.
"Rutia, this is Burninite Sensor Command," transmission begins. Clean for the first time. The static from passing across the border to the Otherside is gone. "You have saved an entire race. Again."
"Rhea, this is Burninite Sensor Command," transmission begins. Also clean. "Your timely intervention and massive ships have saved thousands of lives. Burnination is in your debt."
The Dark Burninite fleet also follows the Burninite, but here in realspace, it's the Dark Burninites who are tactically disadvantaged, their sensors scrambled, and the Burninites' working properly. The Spotlight appears, belatedly, in realspace. It must have been damaged in the earlier engagement. Looks like Thorgood's got it back in working order though.
"Miss me?" Thorgood's voice to Jenova. Unencrypted though, so if foreign sensor networks are watching, they'll pick everything up.
"Immensely." Jenova. "Your timing leaves something to - "
"Shut up -- all ships, move as close to the Craftworlds as you can. Everyone divert all power to shields. Do it now, no questions. If your shi -"
Everything is cut off when the remaining Dark Burninite fleet self-destructs.
