Long Ago and Far Away (FT)

Johan nods, and says, "Depends on what you're thinking. And if that's using the odors to mask the grenades, then yes."

He looks at him and says, "Never mind. Mission?" He pulls out the grenades and the synthetic odor. "Kindly put these in the corpse pile." She sneaks across, loots the bodies, puts the grenades in, then pours in the synthetic odor, and runs back to the hallway.

The rancor smells that odor, moves for the pile of corpses and starts munching down on it. An explosion comes from the rancor's neck and it falls down, dead.

"Let's go."

They enter the base, open the door ahead, and are confronted by a group of six Vulkars and two droids.



(OOC: Add in another hundred credits. 750 credits, 7 pistols [Mission took one], 2 rifles, a short sword, and a shock club. We're in the section labeled 1.)

Johan tries to lay down suppressing fire for the rest of the group, ducking behind a corner if necessary.

After a brief firefight, and two thrown grenades thrown, it's over. They loot 100 credits, three pistols, two short swords, and a shock club.

"Which direction?"

(OOC: Err, how many grenades is that? 850 credits, 10 pistols, 3 short swords, 2 shock clubs.)

"May as well go to the right."

(OOC: I think we had nine earlier, before we used them.)

(OOC: Alright, so seven frag grenades and two poison grenades. Also, could you use compass directions? Using right and left gets confusing when I'm trying to remember which way the characters are facing. I assume you meant west, because going east smacks you right into the wall.)

They head west and then north as the hallway turns. They find the garage door down, as well as a pair of turrets that open fire on them. There's a terminal nearby. Mission tries to use it but finds that it requires a key card to access it.

Johan tries to hack it with the computer sticks.

Access is denied. Mission tries. Access denied. Hagen starts shooting back at the turrets, whittling them down slowly.

Johan gives up, not being much of a hacker. He also starts shooting back at the turrets.

After an extended firefight, and several near misses of them getting their heads blown off by the turrets, they destroy the turrets. Hagen tries the elevator and finds that it's locked down by the terminal outside.

Johan sighs, and asks Hagen, "Know anything about hacking? Because I don't."

"No." He tries to kick the door of the elevator. Nothing happens. "We may as well search the rest of the base, see what we can find."

He nods, and moves on to a different nearby room.

In two of the northern rooms, they find an empty one with some loot and one with a malfunctioning droid they can repair. If they grab the stuff, it's another hundred credits and a half dozen pistols. If they opt to head south, there are three doors to go through, western, central, and eastern.

(OOC: Refer to the map on page 19.)

He goes through the central door.

They run into another group of six Vulkars there. The door in that room to the west opens up and the kitchen staff staff starts attacking, too. Hagen opens with on full auto to let the others find cover.

Johan takes cover and then begins shooting.

Hagen gets hit and uses a Kolto health pack. After another extended firefight, including having to deal with the kitchen staff engaging in melee combat, the party comes out on top. In the kitchen, there's a woman cowering, scared out of her mind.

(OOC: 1150 credits, 18 pistols, 6 rifles, 3 short swords, 2 shock clubs, 7 frag grenades, and 2 poison grenades.)

Johan calmly goes over to her, and asks her, "Are you alright? Who are you?"

'I'm... I'm Ada. I'm a slave." She whimpers. "Don't hurt me. I'll tell you what you need to know!"

"I'm not going to hurt you. Look, I'll set you free if you answer a few questions, OK? Do you know where the prisoners are from the escape pods from the battle, and do you know how to get through the locked door at (insert location here)?"

"I don't know where the prisoners are being held. I think it may be off-site. Brejik's lieutenant has the keycard. He's in the barracks. But if you go the barracks, you'll cross the armory and a pair of turrets there. There's a terminal nearby that disables them. That's all I know."

(OOC: The barracks are at 8. The terminal mentioned is at 4. The armory and turrets are at 5. 7 is an informant you can talk to. 9 is just some random loot.)

Johan nods, and says, "Very well. You can stick with us if you want or you can leave now. Either way, you go free."

He then begins to head towards the terminal.

She runs off.

As the party reaches the terminal, a pair of Vulkars and a pair of turrets open fire. Mission runs for the terminal to hack it.

Johan tries to get the attention of the turrets and the Vulkars so that Mission can hack uninterrupted.
