Greetings, Mr. Mathias. We from the Aescentian Space Expeditionary Fleet would be more than interested in joining the Selathorni team on an expedition to Proxima Centauri, sponsored in part by the Aescentian government. How many people will be allowed to join you? Two of our best scientists and several support staffers are available.

We're planning on a team of about fifteen to twenty. I already have group of eight, some of which are scientists and some of which are former military personnel looking for adventure. Feel free to send as many as you wish, within reason.

That's excellent. We shall be sending the aforementioned two top scientists, two or three support personnel, and four Aescentian SEF military personnel. Where should we meet?

The Alveolar Space Station at the following coordinates is where our ship is docked and where we are currently gathering supplies for the expedition. Please meet us at Hanger 21b.

Soon, without bothering to send a response to the Selathorni team, a ship emblazoned with the Aescentian colours of blue and white slips quietly into subspace, emerging within a thousand kilometres of the coordinates mentioned. Relying on its engines to get it the rest of the way, the sleek vessel docks at Hangar 21b and a small group of people emerge, looking for the others.

An excited looking man in circular glasses and a white overcoat arrives to greet the Aescentian team, and is accompanied by two other members of the Selathorni team, one of which looks to be a scientist and the other one a military veteran.

Cheerfully, Martin greets the Aescentians. "Welcome! We're having dinner right now and we'll leave tomorrow after having breakfast, so we'll have plenty of energy and have some fresh food in our bellies. Is your equipment prepared? Actually, let's discuss that in the dining room of the Nebula, my ship. Follow me, please."

He then leads the Aescentian team to a moderate sized transport/combat ship with obvious modifications, painted a bright gold. The design is a relatively expensive and designed by engineers of the Esteemed Pilots Syndicate (EPS), a well known and powerful union of respected and experienced pilots, acquirable only with proof of membership at an EPS sponsored spaceport.

(OOC: Sorry, my schedule's been a bit crazy... AP practice tests and all. Also, where'd you get the picture of the craft?)

The two scientists, wearing conspicuous white coats and trying their very best to look like scientists, shook hands with the excited Martin and the small delegation of seven people follows them to a beautiful ship, painted gold. One of the people in the back, wearing the Aescentian military uniform, falls behind and admires the ship, obviously attempting to imagine its mechanics.

They enter the ship and one of the two scientists, a tall man, speaks, with a heavy French accent.

"Where is it we can put the equipment?"

The last two members of the Aescentian delegation appear at the doorway, each shepherding a floating pallet of tightly-packed scientific gadgets and data storage devices.

(OOC: Pardus, where I steal all of my pictures from )

"There's a research room room in the back, and there should be more then enough space since I modified it to cover about 1/4 of the cargo hold. Do any of you need winterized gear? We have spare winter armor if it's required."

"No, thank you, I believe we have everything we need. Where are our quarters? Our crew needs a bit of rest after our journey."

"In the back, we have a few extra rooms. You might need to share some rooms, however, but it should be manageable."

"Thank you."

He turned to the support personnel behind them and calmly dealt orders. "Please take these materials to the supply rooms and then get some rest. We will be doing the same shortly."

The small group migrates towards the back of the ship.

(OOC: Time skip then?)

(Time skip. Since this is your RP and your plot, I'll let you decide where the time skip leaves us.)

(OOC: Alright. I'm getting close to forgetting the plot, so let's move along )

Once all the gear has been packed up, everyone finishes dinner and goes to sleep for the night. In the morning, Martin cheerfully wakes everyone up and says that breakfast is ready. He says to Joshua, "Let's have a hearty breakfast, shall we? The expedition will only take a day or so, nothing too complicated. A few orbital scans, a little bit of geological analysis, and a few ice cores will do nicely."

(OOC: LOL, I should have been a bit more specific. Joshua is the head of the ASEF, not the scientist on the journey. The two scientists are Dr. Christian Moreau (the one speaking earlier) and Dr. Quentin Cavendish.)

"Indeed. A breakfast is quite in order, and, hopefully, we shall depart soon."

"Mhm, yes, certainly."

He leads everyone to back to the main room of the ship, and brings them to a fine circular table, linked to the floor by one simple leg. It seems to be very simple, but in fact it's actually an advanced data display & holograph project. Spread on the table is a large, hearty, and fairly standard breakfast, but also there's a bit of what looks like more exotic fare, which seem to be mixes of common items in different cuisines. What else would you expect from a multicultural nation like Selathorn?
