Progress Since the Conclusion of A New Direction

Since the close of A New Direction, many things have changed. Prepare to challenge past conceptions of Burnination. They may very well now be false. See also the military factbook for drastic changes.

Prevalent New Technologies:
- The Disarmorour: A palm-sized device placed all over the Motherland which completely disables anything intended as a weapon.
- Disruptor Ion Cannons: Essentially ground-based anti-spaceship artillery. Like AA guns are for aircraft. Except that they're a LOT more powerful, and much more accurate. One of the only energy weapons in the military.
- Trinium, the first of the EndoMetals has been found, and is being mined. It is harder, and lasts longer than any other metals. It's being used to build things that are safer and last longer than ever before.

Social Changes:
- Previously, weaponry has been prevalent in Burnination. Now, they are almost completely gone.
- Much of the armed forces is being phased out. The numbers are declining rapidly. Offensive capabilities are declining to zilch, while defensive capabilities are essentially unchanged.
- Higher educations all around, since only 10% of the population needs to be working at any given time. It's on a rotation. (Discounting those in the military.)
- Generally more of a Swiss attitude towards foreign relations. This has always been the case, except towards the Rutians, to whom Burnination has always been partial. However, in the general population, there are calls to treat Rutianas like any other nation.

Since the destruction of Slaaneesh, note that in general, our technology is now moving forward at a ridiculous rate. Now, Burnination has nothing to fear from this advancement. They've learned their lesson. So thousands of years of pent-up creative energies are being released. Hundreds of secret military technologies were declassified, and then built upon by civilian engineers.

Since the Lifting of the Sith Attacks:

Onlookers will note the appearance of two, mostly white small moons orbiting Burnination. They are a strange substance, and they emit a strange energy signal. Burninite activity on them is evident, but it is unclear what they are doing, and where they got the giant spacerocks. Probably a parallel universe.
