A grave report has been issued from the various intelligence and sensor agencies of the Peacekeeping Forces: the Human Hive has expanded into space. Hive colonists have settled the resource rich though biologically poor planet now designated as Planetary Commune-2 (presumably, Chiron is meant to be Planetary Commune-1). It is as of yet unknown how the Human Hive has managed to obtain the resources required to colonize the planet, as such information has not been publicly released, however when asked for a reply the intelligence agency has indicated that they do have suspicions of what happened, but cannot currently release them, though they have disclosed the fact that the Hive has apparently independently discovered the workings of the Alcubierre warp drive. This represents a grave threat to the freedom of Chiron, as the Hive now has a resource base independent from the Planetary Governate, however Brother Lal has indicated that resources for a Peacekeeper-owned base is in the works and that they will soon be able to defeat the Hive in terms of space colonization. Besides this, no actions have been taken, as to do so would pose a dangerous threat to the fragile peace that is currently enjoyed.

Only one month after the Hive's first stellar colony, a colony vessel has been prepared in Port Garland and has been dispatched to colonize the biologically lush planet newly designed Refuge, the first colony made by the Peacekeeping Forces. Refuge is currently home to some one million people and is planned to receive several million more migrants from other Peacekeeper bases and possibly will be open to immigration from other factions if their administrations allow it. In the future, Refuge will greatly supplement the nutrient base of the Planetary Governate as while it is mostly sufficient on energy and mineral output nutrient production is projected to be unlikely to keep up with the growing population, even with orbital hydroponic farms being considered. In any case, Refuge represents a light of hope for the Peacekeeping Forces.
