Ain't That A Kick In The Head (MT/PMT OPEN)

The Enclave seem a bit worried about not gaining assistance, however, they're hidden well enough that the Legion are overlooking them.

Word comes back that Frumentarii are on the Strip, but they're not questioning people. Arcade tells Tex where one of them is located, which isn't too far from where Tex is. Tex wanders over to chat. The Frumentarius seems a bit shocked at being approached, but quickly hides it. No, he doesn't know who the others are. They're not Legion.

Looks like the Securitrons didn't malfunction. They knew what they were doing. Tex sends sends several of the militia to go round up the wastelanders. The Frumentarius is actually given the honor of going into the Lucky 38.

Douglass goes back to the Gomorrah for a drink.

Once inside the Lucky 38, the Frumentarius is disarmed and sent up to meet with Caesar. After the meeting, Tex heads up to have a chat. Arcade finally joins them.

After a month of cleanup by the Legion and A&A to hunt down any remaining Enclave personnel in both the Legion lands and New Vegas, a new Alliance is born. A&A, New Vegas, and the Legion have come to an agreement and have all signed a mutual defense pact, however, A&A does not expect New Vegas or the Legion to cross the ocean to defend them, but they will come to the defense of New Vegas or the Legion.

The Legion has also gone down far enough into South America and integrated multiple tribes. Their numbers swell in South America. The majority of tribes there had never heard of the Legion, so none of them resisted. No slaves were taken, though pay for work isn't the best. Then again, the Legion's economy isn't the best either.

Once again, the Legion has proven themselves superior against the Enclave. Aisha and Jericho both await trial, one that will likely condemn both of them to either death or life in prison without parole. Other Enclave soldiers sit in prisons in both New Vegas and Legion territory, also awaiting trial. Only time will tell whether the Legion remains in control or if some other force rises up from the Wastelands with the ability to topple the Legion from their position.

The official response from the Swiss government on the mutual defense pact between New Vegas, the Legion, and Alanda and Alexia is neutrality. Unofficially, there is a lot of pissing and moaning over New Vegas siding with two authoritarian regimes. There's some talk within Checkmate of reviving and propping up the NCR as a client state but it's shot down due to concerns over starting a second Cold War. Mutual defense pacts are considered with the UMNA, Bismouth, and Khandaq.

(OOC: So basically, you want to reform NATO )

(OOC: Considering it's a mutual defense pact, it's not completely breaking neutrality. A&A has been pretty clear that they don't expect New Vegas or the Legion to come running if there's an attack on A&A. What wasn't openly mentioned, but is in the agreement at the fine print, is that the Legion doesn't expect them to defend the Legion either. It's more of a thing where if people try and attack New Vegas (including the NCR), they'll get dogpiled by New Vegas, the Legion, and A&A. Also, if someone attacks the Legion (like Enclave remnants), they'll get hit by the Legion and A&A. New Vegas can join in if they want. There's other stuff in there that doesn't deal with defense. Stuff that I'll make clear as necessary, but it does not affect trade or communication or anything that would affect general non-war RP with others. )

(OOC: Oh, I know. It's just that they're a little annoyed, considering how they've been trying to court New Vegas for much longer than Alanda and Alexia has. The possibility of a second Cold War is very real in their minds, though, and they are FREAKED OUT by the prospect of it, considering how the first one went.)

Those mutual defense pact ideas, for the most part, go nowhere. Black Adam is too unpredictable for Kahndaq to be a good ally. Bismouth would probably wish to avoid antagonizing Alanda and Alexia. The UMNA would most likely wish to stay independent of any entanglements. Still, they decide to float the idea to Generalissimo Roald to see if he'd approve.

They also consider expanding into North Africa to complete their dominance of the Mediterranean and to make it closer to their base of power, anyway. It is not decided yet.
