Between The Darkness And The Light

The Rhean missiles work nicely. The ships hit are completely destroyed. It's made the Shadow ships very wary of the Rheans now.

The cloud doesn't even register as being there.

The beaming of nukes works at first before the Shadows get wise to it and seem to modulate their signals enough to keep from being locked on to.

The Vorlons decide to show up. Their ships do not join in the fight, but their presence has stopped the Shadows fighting. They're not staying still though. They're avoiding any confrontations, but they're not shooting either.

The majority of the Burninite fleet vanishes, leaving behind a small contingent and The Spotlight. They also avoid open conflict, but they won't let the Shadow Ships get to The Spotlight.

Inside, Teresa has a scientist prepping several unmanned drones to deploy into the cloud to see what happens. Another scientist is still working on that FTL jamming.

Star Destroyers start emerging from hyperspace as close to being right on top of Shadow ships as possible and opening fire.

And the Shadow Ships just avoid the Rheans. They don't fight back.

The White Stars don't fight either. They do seem to be ready for anything.

The cloud clears over Dreva. There are portions of the planet that have been destroyed. Completely destroyed. Nothing is left. The whole planet was not affected, but the capitol is gone. The whole city is gone. The Citadel, however, remains standing. It's the only thing that's left in that area.

The Shadow ships disappear as do the Vorlon ships. No telling what happened.

(OOC: Did the probes we sent into the cloud return any readings?)

(OOC: Pass.)

(OOC: No. To all sensors, it didn't exist. It could be seen, but that was the only way to know it existed. Nothing could get a reading on it.

Well then, the Burninites radio the planet to see if they need anything.

(OOC: Pass.)

There is no answer from the planet, actually, but the Raptor responds. "Dreva's lost all communications. Only structure hit that's still standing is the Citadel. We're not sure of deaths and injuries yet. We're working on that. Humanitarian aid may be helpful, but since we're up here and not down there, we can't be sure yet." That's not Shein or Arren on the comm.

"Ask and we will come," responds the Nightwing.

(OOC: Similar, but they improved on it. The planet isn't all destroyed, but can be done in segments and the cloud can't be tracked anymore.)

A small contingent of five Imperial Knights and a few hundred Legionnaires are sent to the surface to check things out before the rest of the aid groups arrive.

Elsewhere, the Imperial general staff work independently on counteracting the cloud and the Shadow ships. The decision is made to put multiple Imperial Knights, who are mild telepaths, on several of the capital ships in order to screw with them, fire missiles into the cloud, and have fighters enter the cloud to seek out the missile platform to act as forward observers for the capital ships. This is sent to the Rutian general staff for approval.

(OOC: I've pulled off another retcon in ship numbers. There's only one Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought and two Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts in the current Imperial fleet. Three Eclipse-class and five Executor-class in the Korellian Galactic War. One Eclipse-class was destroyed and the other decommissioned and three Exector-class were destroyed.)

(OOC: Twiddles thumbs while waiting. Eh, and I guess I'll pull off reunification around this time. And hurray for hopefully the last retcon in fleet numbers. The fleet has always been around 300 ships, 2/3 of which were Acclamators.)
