INTRODUCTION

Again, I've listed the data from NSEconomy here along with the net changes since the last report. Look out, I changed the format for population. I also stopped doing math there because it's pretty darn unimportant, and pretty darn annoying.

Note to those of you who want me to add you to the report: PM me, and I will! Blah blah blah, don't be inactive and on my report. Not a concern at the moment. But seriously, with the increase in activity over here, you certainly may join the FT report. It's just a PM away.

Older reports can be found on the old forums.

DATA LISTS

Level of Military Technology

Tech levels are important in the military. A bunch of dudes with clubs are going to lose to the army equipped with laser pistols. 'Nuff said.

Rutianas - Future Tech + Super Weapon (X2)
Panzersharkcat - Future Tech + Super Weapon
Burnination - Future Tech + Super Weapon
Selathorn - Future Tech + Super Weapon
Aescentia - Future Tech

Defense Spending
Defense spending is important to military strength for an obvious reason: if you're not spending any money on your army, you don't have a very well trained army, or a very well equipped army (Note that per-soldier spending is important here as well.). As far as you're concerned, remember this formula: More military spending = stronger military.

- 1) Rutianas: $104,600,934,264,318.23 (+ 4,182,413,611,948.28)
- 2) Burnination: $34,133,767,444,522.38 (- 506,480,275,260.29)
- 3) Selathorn: $23,787,176,481,936.01 (+ 4,668,400,831,292.11)
- 4) Panzersharkcat: $3,847,115,772,281.25 (+ 174,718,473,421.54)
- 5) Aescentia: $1,364,077,925,342.48

Economic Strength - (Relative ratings determined based on data given.)
This one was added for a little more complicated reason. Firstly, if you have a more powerful economy, your nation is better equipped to weather a prolonged war without collapsing. Also, more industries means that you can produce more weapons during a war, and may be more difficult to strategically bomb.

- 1) Panzersharkcat: GDP Per Capita $42,204.50, Trade = SURPLUS $369,635,793,927.46, Currency = $1.9122 (Economic Regress)
- 2) Burnination: GDP Per Capita $38,275.12, Trade = DEFICIT $277,175,276,858.50, Currency = $1.8210 (Economic Improvement)
- 3) Selathorn: GDP Per Capita $37,068.48, Trade = SURPLUS $184,625,349,545.69, Currency = $1.7920 (Economic Regress)
- 4) Rutianas: GDP Per Capita $34,381.91, Trade = SURPLUS $654,083,946,895.73, Currency = $1.7259 (Economic Regress)
- 5) Aescentia: GDP Per Capita $9,189.06, Trade = SURPLUS $33,942,145,757.01, Currency = $0.4769

Population; -->(IN MILLIONS)<--
This is included for another simple reason. Population matters. Nations can be powerful just on sheer numbers. Real world example: China.

- 1) Panzersharkcat: 6571
- 2) Rutianas: 4926
- 3) Burnination: 3896
- 4) Selathorn: 1400
- 5) Aescentia: 961

OVERALL RANKINGS

This list is essentially my interpretation of all the previous lists. This list is debatable. Also note that this time, all ratings are relative. The most powerful country received a 10, and all nations were then scored between 0 (no military) and 10 (the most powerful nation in the region). The political stability is added as a range. In other words, at any given point, a nation's military is within the range given by the rankings.

Format:
Raw score - Modified score: Nation
Description
Raw score - Modified score: Nation
Description

10.0 - 10.01: Rutianas
Where is all that money coming from? I mean, I don't know what you could possibly spend it all on. Look out, get into a fight with Rutianas, and you'll find yourself peppered with GOLDEN BULLETS. Add that to a decent economy and a sizable population and you've got the best tasting soup in the neighborhood. I mean the best military around. (Silliness intended to show the general stupidity it would take to pick a fight with Rutianas at the moment.)
8.3 - 8.3: Burnination
Despite a slight spending drop, Burnination held its ground in relative rankings because it was the only nation to register an economic improvement over the last month.
7.9 - 7.88: Panzersharkcat
Oh no, Panzersharkcat's economy has TANKED. Really, it's hit rock bottom. Slight spending boost though. Biggest population. Overall strength is still going strong here even if it fell relative to Rutianas. And in all seriousness, Panzersharkcat's economy is still powerhouse.
3.45 - 3.43: Selathorn
UP in relativity to Rutianas. Largest spending increase. Keep an eye on Selathorn's spending, as it's been increasing rapidly despite its small size. As far as per capita spending goes, Selathorn has to take the cake. This isn't necessarily a good thing, but the point is that Selathorn's got great spending, and a decent economy to back it up. All it needs is a billion or so more people.
0.8 - 0.8: Aescentia

Realize also Ace, your military spending is twice that of the USA. The rest of us just have ridiculous numbers. You should work on your economy.

Exactly. If there was a RL Rutianas or Selathorn, it would collapse within days because 50 or so percent of a 100% tax devoted to the military is more or less impossible.
