International Military Report (PT) - August 2010

Introduction

This is the specialized military report for the USS PT nations/puppets. As with the regular report, all stats are directly copied from the NSeconomy site (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php?region=Korel), and overall rankings are simply based on my opinion and open for debate.

Defense Spending
The more spent on defense, the better trained and equipped your military is. In general, more spending = Better military.

The larger your population, the more pawns you have to throw at your enemy. Err... I mean that power can come from sheer numbers.

ORILANA: 10.0/10.0. Again, Oriliana will remain in first will Blolrus. Spending is not quite as impressive as it once was (hurrah for the joys of optimization), and the economy isn't great, but the sheer size cannot be overcome.
BLOLRUS: 10.0/10.0. Biggest spending, second largest population, third best economy = powerhouse. Combine that with total control of the sea along with Orilana and you have an absolutely formidable force.
KONOSIS: 5.6/10.0. Konosis isn't shining like it always does with New Ermarian and Themysciraa quickly approaching it but it still boasts the best economy and the largest population and spending among land nations. Still not a force to be reckoned with.
NEW ERMARIAN: 3.2/10.0. New Ermarian has a mediocre 4th in all measures but it is approaching Konosis fast. New Ermarian however is still a tiny player by the standards of Orilana and Blolrus and thus is not getting a higher score.
Themysciraa: 2.4/10.0. Taking the more fantastic features of this nation to the side, Themysciraa has a decent economy but the lowest spending and population. It simply does not compare with behemoths like Konosis on land or Blolrus/Orilana on the sea.

NOTE - This should be taken with a grain of salt. The stats are what really matter.

You tied us? I'd have given Orilana a lead. 10.0 to maybe 9.5.

I've been tying you for months, and Blolrus was a lot weaker then, I don't know why you are so surprised all of a sudden

Hmm. If you had not taken the fantastic elements of Themyscira aside (basically immortal, super-strength, invisible jets, the Purple Ray healing device/big death cannon), it would definitely have overtaken Ermarian. None of the others, but definitely Ermarian, mostly due to sheer mass of numbers. RP-wise, the population is 7 million, not 700 million.

In the animated movie, Queen Hippolyta fought and defeated Ares in single combat. Not exactly continuity here, though.
