*Pierce's mood immediately darkened*

Pierce: I'm sorry to inform you but your pod was the only one we could detect. I... I am greatly sorry for the loss of your comrades. Your injured will be taken care of and you will be given temporary quarters. We will drop you off with the closest Heraklean garrison. If you need anything speak with me or the Order Captain. If you'll excuse me I have to go file an after action report. My Order Sergeant will escort you and your men to quarters. I will have some free time after my report if you wish to discuss things.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***After Action Report - Poras***

Ship Designation: T.S.F. Darkness Incarnate
Ship Class: Stealth frigate (SF-4)
Codename: Copycat 5
Commanding Officer: Order Captain Suez, Arcanii Network
Reporting Officer: Order Lieutenant Pierce, Second-in-Command, Arcanii Network

Report: Copycat 5 tailed Heraklean Retaliation Fleet to find raiders and extract what they know and what their intentions were in the attack on Heraklean assets. Upon leaving slipspace, Heraklean Fleet made contact with previously unknown alien faction. Upon contact, unknown faction sent one message to the Heraklean fleet, "Trespasser, identified as Heraklean State. Act of war, there is now a state of war between us." After message was sent unknown faction engaged Heraklean forces and wiped them out. Only one escape pod was launched from fleet before destruction which has been secured by Copycat 5. Crew will be given proper treatment as allies and will be transported to nearby Heraklean garrison. Copycat 5 attempted cyberwarfare attacks by datamining unknown factions computer systems for knowledge about them and cyberwarfare was used to block interstellar communications to prevent reinforcements from coming. This measure was to indirectly aid the Heraklean fleet. Datamine was interrupted, however, and a reverse hack was initiated which was immediately disconnected by the shutdown of the Cyberwarfare suite. Speed of the hack was deemed impossible by organic means which suggests a use of AIs or a completely synthetic civilization. Upon authority from O.S.S.C. Livenstein, Copycat 5 used experimental mini-FOAB designated, "Little Brother," to cripple unknown faction fleet. Results are inconclusive as Copycat 5 had to leave system for fear of compromised stealth systems but the yield of the blast combined with the concentration of fleet ships suggests high casualties for the unknown faction. Datamine resulted in two pieces of information. Unknown faction knows itself as, "Poras," and several references were made about Heraklea and Christana. Data was too corrupted to know more than that.

Possible Strengths: Heavy use of AI technology, ships and fighters used AI which allow for maneuvers that would kill most organics, exposure to more hostile conditions, faster response time to threats, and lack of organic morality leading to colder tactics like total war. Highly technological weapons, weapons wiped out Heraklean fleet before it could respond.
Possible Weaknesses: Statement made to Heraklean fleet prior to attack alludes to a hive mind based AI system, possible to use viruses to inhibit flow of information between various AIs. Could not detect stealth frigate, Stealth frigates viable tactical option. Fleet possibly severely crippled in Little Brother strike.

Threat Analysis: Deadly

Threat Analysis key: pre-spaceflight, Peaceful, Low, Moderate, High, Deadly, Severe, Apocalyptic

Report sent to: O.S.S.C. Livenstein, Arcanii Network Central

Recommended Course of Action from Ordenreich: Possible misunderstanding between Heraklean fleet and Paros, should attempt negotiations to prevent possible misunderstanding to become full blown war

REPORT SEALED BY ORDER OF PALADIN KOMTUR JAGER

Order Rescinded

Order Rescinded by authority of: Hochmeister Micah von Guelder
Reason: Possible threat is too important to keep secrets from allies

Copy of Report Sent to: Fleet Admiral Meagan Ida, State of Heraklea : Admiral Zahara Carren, Planetary Governate of Alpha Centauri : Pa'u Jenova Incinerator, Motherland of Burnination

PostSubject: Re: Echoes of the Dead   Echoes of the Dead - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Sep 08, 2013 10:46 am

Admiral Carren reviewed the documents in a holoconference with her subordinate Commodores, in an effort to brief them fully before carrying out the attack plan. Looking around at the projection of the others, she examined them all carefully, before she said, "So, it appears that the unknown force that carried out the attack on the Heraklean fleet is an AI, according to the OrdenReich intelligence, and there is some relationship between this 'Praos' entity and the Christanans, though of what kind we do not yet know. Nevertheless, I would like to know what opinions, if any, that you all have, before I speak on what I feel is of note."

One of the Commodores cleared his throat, and said, "Admiral Carren, if this is an AI like the document claims it is, could we not call for backup from a probe team and attempt to disable its infrastructure?"

Another one replied, "While probe teams are quite effective against our more conventional rivals, this is a powerful AI we're talking about here. It is difficult to breach the defenses they impose, and trying to manipulate the architecture of a 'living' entity is far more difficult than a more standard system."

Admiral Carren nodded herself, and said, "I am in agreement. Though I have considered the possibility of sending a probe team on site, I doubt that the Governate would deign to provide a probe team for what is essentially a suicide mission. It appears much more prudent to deal with this AI in more... conventional methods. Now, speaking of conventional methods, I would like to address the tactical aspect of the upcoming battle. The enemy has demonstrated heavy use of drone warfare, which necessitates a focus on point-defense systems throughout the battle. Nevertheless, we have found that such enemies are less capable of self-defense at a close range, and as such if we can close rapidly enough we may very well be able to seal the battle. Dismissed to your posts."

If your analysis is correct, then Burnination would be willing to assist in the removal of these AIs from the system, should it come to war. AIs are exempt from our pacifist mandate, and the placement of deadly AIs where they may strike biological organisms at will is an international war crime. (Pacifism is nonviolence towards all living beings. We have extended its meaning in this age to include nonliving beings who are manifestly good. We have not extended it to drones.)

Does this mean that the original aggressors against the Heraklean mine were not successfully tracked? (It seems to me to be incredibly unlikely that an AI civilization would have reason to strike as such, which leads me to the conclusion that the responsibility lies somewhere else.)

Sincerely,

Fleet Admiral Ophelia Kirrin gazed at the multitude of documents being displayed across the field of her vision as she sipped her cocoa. The chocolate of the drink was accented by a hints of cinnamon and chili, a combination she insisted help stimulate her mind. She read over all of it: the hard intel from the few surviving ships of the recon force and the Darkness Incarnate, the breakdowns by countless analysts, her own force and allied force dispositions. A lesser mind would be hard pressed to keep track of it all. It all raised numerous.

First question: Was this AI on Paros actually responsible for the attack on the mining operation? The attackers did seem to originate from there, but there was no discernible reason for it to attack Heraklea. Certainly not in the manner it did.

Second question: Did it really matter at this point? In some ways the Rubicon had already been crossed. The AI had declared there was a state of war. Even if the raiders had come from somewhere else, it was entirely possible the AI would not accept any sort of accord, in which case they would have to fight the constructs.

Third question: Was there any way to gain influence with or control over the AI? The industrial capacity of Paros would be staggering in reference to any other comparatively sized world. If that same capacity could be put to use for Heraklea and her allies, it would be of enormous benefit.

Fourth question:...

Probably not, ma'am. From the after action reports I received from the raid and the retaliation strike both opposing fleets used different tactics suggesting that they were two entirely different fleets. The fact that these raiders were followed by the Heraklean retaliation fleet who led them to the Paros, not to mention the fact that Christana was mentioned in the corrupted recordings we got from the failed datamine, leads us to assume that there is a cooperative relationship between Christana and Paros. We have no evidence to support this so we won't make formal accusations at this point but we are operating under the assumption that there is a relationship. I have already been sent demands by some of the Paladin Komturs and members of our general assembly to end our trade relationship with Christana but I have not submitted to these demands just yet. I won't break our trade with Christana till I have more concrete evidence that Christana was the instigator of the raid. For all we know these raiders were simply pirates that just happened to randomly jump to a system that happened to have an AI civilization on it. For all we know the AI could have wiped out the raiders.

Micah von Guelder

Many Burninites have agreed to act as force multiplyers should your aligned fleets attack the AIs. We will send ships that will project shields around ships in your line that take a lot of fire. This should preserve material on your side, but more importantly, preserve lives.

Please do not be alarmed if you attack the AIs and Burninite vessels appear. You may forward this to any other power planning on attacking the AIs.

"Gentlemen, you have been picked for this mission due to your unmatched stealth and survival skills. You will be sent on stealth encoded shuttles that will drop you on Proas, your goal will be to deactivate the defenses and allow a bigger force of Rangers to land on the surface. Our scouts have reported that the Proas defense force are moving to confront the Hera forces coming to invade. More on the actual plan details later. Dismissed!"

Stephen still remembered the commander's words, now they were louder and more memorable than ever before. He remembered them as he sat in the shuttle with his 3 other squad mates holding on to the safety straps for dear life. The commanders words got louder and louder and louder until.... they crashed to the surface.

Stephen opened the shuttle door and discovered a whole new world. While Christana was mainly forests and natural creations, Proas was nothing but cold steel. By the look on his fellow squadmate's face they felt the same. There was a strange sense of wonder that accompanied the fear.

As he snapped back into reality he sighed and opened his map. They could not use any technology other than the communicator once the defenses were offline so they were stuff with an actual paper map. "Right, this way men."

----

In the outer parts of Praos, a massive armada of defense ships started to form, they detected a possiblity of an attack from the State.

The Ordenreich fleet, Divine Intervention, has finished combat preparations and is ready to begin the attack. Artillery fleets are now standing by awaiting coordinates for FOAB strike against enemy defense forces. These strikes will require LoS to be launched. There is too much of a factor of error for us to launch FOABs in the dark and risk taking out the planet or missing entirely.

Ophelia called to order the meeting of commanders. The leading officers of the military forces of the three nations present turned to face her.

“Welcome to this joint planning session for a response to the events in Paros. I hope this joint venture will help solidify the cooperation between our nations. And with those pleasantries out of the way, let's get to business.” She triggered the holographic display. “Our analysis of the situation leads us to believe that a diplomatic solution to Paros is not viable. As such my planners and I have come up with this proposal. The plan calls for a multi-phased attack. The 5th Expeditionary Fleet will advance on the system from galactic south-east. Based on the response by forces in Paros during the incursion by our recon force, we believe this will draw out the majority of their space forces, in particular their drone fighters. With their forces converging on the 5th Expeditionary, they will be out of cover of all the celestial bodies in system, leaving them open to FOAB strikes by Divine Intervention.

“At that point, the 6th Expeditionary Fleet and the Beowulf Fleet will advance on the system from galactic south while the 1st and 4th Ordenreich fleets advance from galactic east. The 4th Carrier Group will move to support the 5 th Expeditionary. The 3rd Marine Division will follow. The main goal of our forces at that point should be the elimination of enemy naval forces in system, paving the way for an assault on the planet. At that point, we move our forces for kinetic bombardment of military targets on the planet surface. With the static defenses dealt with, the 3rd Marines will begin combat drops. If we are able to locate a central command node, we will target that in particular to disable the AI. That may not end the threat, but it would certainly disrupt enemy coordination, likely reducing force depletion among our marines.

“Are their any questions, suggestions or additional support that anyone would like to offer.”

Maya: Our carrier battlegroup is one of the newest in the Ordenreich and carries the newest drone fighter. Because of this our carriers are stocked to bursting with drone fighters as the human element has been largely eliminated thus freeing more space for hangers. Those drones are a dime of dozen so we will be willing to let our drones take the brunt of the hit from their drones. We should be able to tie down enough of their fighters in dogfights to ease the pressure on the rest of the fleet. The 1st and 4th fleets also carry a large contingent of Ordenreich ground forces. We have knights, paladins, and even a full black hole legionnaires to spare for a ground assault. I will also like to point out that this AI was able to defeat some of the most sophisticated firewalls available to the Arcanii Network which is saying a lot seeing as they are our intel division. I suggest we monitor our computer systems very closely for any attempts at cyberwarfare. Finally, I can't stretch this point enough. FOABs are the single most deadly weapon in the Ordenreich arsenal. They have the firepower to wipe out entire planets. Saying that we need to be careful in their use. Any allied ship caught in the explosive radius will be doomed and the EMP wave has no resistance to contend with except planets and ships so if any of our big ships are caught with their shields down the EMP will fry them. All of our fighters should be fine, they will get knocked out but a hard restart should bring them back online. Just something to consider when using them. The Ordenreich is putting a lot of trust in you Herakleans, allowing you the ability to call FOAB strikes, be extremely cautious with this power.

"Fair points. Perhaps it would be better for the primary force of the initial phase to be the 4th Carrier Group supported by the 5th Expeditionary. We are aware of the dangers of the FOAB, that's why the plan calls for the strikes before the enemy has a chance to engage with our ships and before we bring the bulk of our forces into play.

"Their hacking ability is a problem. Heraklean fire and defensive systems are at their best when our ships computers are able to interact with each other through a communication network. We are capable of making our ship systems operate artistically from the communication network. It'll degrade our performance but it will increase our cyber security.

"And support from your ground forces would be well appreciated."

Maya: The Ordenreich is prepared to make the necessary sacrifices. The 4th carrier group will be honored to be the spearpoint and our ground troops will carry battle to our enemies with pride. I will make the call to O.S.S.C. Livenstein to have a few stealth frigates join us. I am unsure if having them on cyber security will help our fleets at all but they do carry the most sophisticated espionage and intelligence gathering technology in the Ordenreich so they will do all they can to prevent hackings.

Jenova calls her ambassadors from Alpha Centauri, Heraklea, and the Ordenreich, and informs them that the captains of 45 Leviathans are willing to provide shield projection for ships attacking Paros, and she is willing to come as well.

She provides a demonstration of shield projection if there are any doubters.

If she is told when and where the fleets will attack, the Burninites will be there to project shields around ships taking heavy fire.

Admiral Carran shakes her head, and says, "I believe that at this point in time I have no objections, as everything I would have liked to mention has been covered. We shall perform our assigned roles in this battle to the best of our capability."

***

Meanwhile, Talent Khoroushi forwards the Burnite offer of shield screening to Admiral Carran, who in turn sends a response through Talent Khoroushi requesting that the Burnite leviathans concentrate on the more vulnerable vessels of the Herakleans and Sacaens, who lack the advanced shield technology used by the Centauri.

With the plan agreed upon, the meeting adjourned and the final preparation for the attack began.

* * * * *

The 5th Expeditionary Fleet, the 4th Carrier Group and the Burninite Leviathans detailed to them appeared suddenly in the Paros system. The 5th Expeditionary took defensive positions around the carriers as the Leviathans erected their barrier fields. The carriers began issuing their drone swarms as the enemy did the same. The two swarms engaged each other as the system defenders began moving towards the attackers. As the attackers crossed the green line on the holographic plot of the system, Divine Intervention was signaled.

The FOABs detonated in the middle of the enemy fleet, devastating them. Hundreds of carriers became tens. The losses among smaller ships were even more pronounced. The drone fleets of both the enemy and the Ordenreich were almost entirely disabled, but even as their drones became floating wrecks, the 4th Carrier Group began deploying its reserve of drones for the follow up attack. The 5th Expeditionary Fleet advanced behind the swarm and began targeting the enemy remnant. Even as they did, the rest of the joint force began their advance in system.

The defenders were broken. They would soon be overwhelmed.

As the rest of the forces moved in a Christana fleet warped in.

"To Joint Task Force. This is the Christanan navy, this may sound odd but we are here to help you, well sort of. We have task forces on the ground attempting to disable the AI, we have an army ready to attack the eastern side of the planet. Our men planetside just need more time to disable the defenses of the planet, if you attack now your invasion force will be nothing but ash. We request that you please wait for our signal to attack. Both of us want the same thing, to neutralize this threat."

The Burninite Leviathan captains are frozen by this new development. They haven't the authority to deviate from their orders, but they are militia in that they are all here voluntarily, and vulnerable in that they have no desire to even attempt to be in the middle of a battle between true living opponents.

Of the 45 Burninite Leviathans, 7 vanish immediately when the Christanan fleet appears, and 9 more after they broadcast.

In any case, the remaining 29 Leviathans project shields around Ordenreich vessels and Heraklean vessels wherever drones attempt to fire on them. Again, Burninite shields aren't impenetrable, but they might just succeed in saving the lives of some crewmembers, or even an entire vessel. Even in defeat, losing armies can inflict casualties.

On the previously chosen encrypted frequencies of the allied fleet, a Burninite voice. It's feminine, but doesn't sound like Jenova's. "If the Christanan fleet is engaged, do not count on our support. The captains here cannot intervene in that struggle. This Christanan fleet is highly irregular, and the timing suspect. We will defer to the larger forces here, but it is the opinion of the Burninite captains that the Christanans here are speaking in untruths."

And as claimed, the Burninites will defer to anything agreed upon by the Herakleans/Centauri/Ordenreich, and will vanish into the Warp should fighting break out between anyone and anyone else who isn't the drones.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, thought Fleet Admiral Kirrin on the arrival of the Christanans. What do they mean they already have forces on the planet? How and when did they possibly get there? She was certain the Burninites had the right of it. The Christanans could not be trusted any way, especially under these circumstances. There was some other game a foot here.

On the other hand, her cousin wouldn't thank her to start a war they weren't ready for over suspicion without substantiating proof. The likelihood that the Christanans had been responsible for the attack on the mining operation raised in Ophelia's estimation, but there was no way she could act on it at this time. As such, she asked the other nations officers for their recommendation as the fleets continued their clash.

Maya: Attention Christanan fleet. You're request is in direct conflict with our standing orders from O.S.S.C. Livenstein. The Ordenreich Arcanii Network has used its best electronic countermeasures to prevent AI infiltration. We have no reason to believe that your understanding or AI systems is any better and its more than a little convenient that your troops were already on the ground when you arrived in system. If we weren't so busy I would have inquired further in Christana interests in this AI society. As such, your request is denied. The Ordenreich will continue combat operations, our allies may do as they wish in this regard. Stay off this channel. Maya out.

*Paladin Komtur Maya closed the comm channel and turned to her Operations officer.*

Maya: I'm tired of these mysterious, manipulative mind games Christana is pulling. I want all stealth frigates not on cyberwarfare duties to move in on the Christana fleet and tag each and every ship in that fleet. Those stealth frigates are to secretly tail that fleet and any sizable break off fleets. I want to know when and where those ships are at all times.

Ops Officer: Yes ma'am.

Maya: Ground Ops, begin phase two of operation.

Ground Ops: Yes ma'am

(Following text is partially taken from Halo 4 Spartan Ops)

*As soon as Paladin Komtur Maya gave the order the carrier group began to move in towards the planet's surface. A few surviving AI ships launched a few pathetic salvos but even the average shielding of the carriers managed to shrug it off. All of a sudden a huge slipspace rupture appeared in front of of the carrier group and an ultra-dreadnought came through. One of the surviving ships had the misfortune of being in the way and the ultra-dreadnought simply rammed its way through the ship completely shattering the AI ship.*

Massilia: This is Knight Commander Massilia, T.S.F. Invictus, slipspace transition successful, beginning Phase two.

*All of a sudden, something not seen since the Ultra-dreadnoughts debut (mostly because the Ordenreich never really had to do planetary invasions of this scale before) was coming out of the ultra-dreadnought. Several destroyer sized ships began to fly out of the Ultra-dreadnought. An Ordenreich secret till now but an ultra-dreadnought, instead of carrying a contingent of fighters, carried 7 destroyers inside it when tasked to take a planet. When in space combat these destroyers are left out to make more room for other things like fighters or extra FOABs. The carriers from the 4th carrier group also began deploying numerous fighters, pelican transports, and larger Hercules Heavy transports that contained the heavier ground vehicles like Legionnaire Medium Tanks, Imperator Heavy Tanks, Kaiser Super Heavy Tanks, Mako APCs, and Falcon Assault Choppers. These smaller vehicles began heading to the surface of the planet but the frigate escorts also could be seen shooting out small pods. These pods were the Orbit to surface drop pods that contained one Heaven's Darkrider soldier. These soldiers, like paratroopers of old, would hit the ground first and clear an LZ for the big transports. There were so many drop pods, transports, and fighters heading for the surface that it looked like an angry wasp nest. Following the fighters, transports, and drop pods was the destroyers deployed by the Ultra-Dreadnought. They would be used to provide close orbital support and bombardment.*

They were not called drop-ships for no reason.  Gravity and boosters propelled the landing craft into vertical falls to the surface of the world.  The armored outer hulls glowed with the intensity of entry as they plummeted through the upper atmosphere.  The drop-ships shuddered with energy and shook the millions strong Heraklean army.

The legs absorbed most of the shock of landing.  The doors fell forward becoming ramps and Poseidon's Chosen sallied forth.  Robotic hordes turned and rushed towards the advancing marines and charged to their own folly.  Ionized plasma melted the plating of the robots and destroyed their circuitry.  The machines fell under their onslaught.

Out of nowhere, the earth beneath their feet began to quake.  The ground began to deform and marines barely dodged out of the way as gigantic metal worms emerged from beneath the surface.  They shot straight up into vertical towers before gravity took its toll and metal behemoths crashed down to earth.  The spinning blades in the worms' “mouths” made their true purpose clear.  These were tunnel digging drills re-purposed to weapons of war.

The worms turned their heads and began drilling back beneath the surface, moving the rest of their bodies along.  As they did, they peppered the marines with chewed up earth sprayed from exhaust ports.  Some marines fell under this attack as other cried out in dismay when their weapons' fire had little effect.  The marines fell back from their most advanced positions as they waited on the worms to begin a new assault.  They did not wait long.

The worms again raised from the earth, catching a few slow marines in their monstrous drills.  As they fell once more, however, Poseidon's Chosen were ready.  Upon hitting the ground, heavy weapons marines launched shoulder launched rockets into the “teeth” of the drills.  Following fire played havoc with the metal innards, ending yet another threat.  With these felled, the marines continued their advance.

(You are going to fast I was just going to post about the defences. There is a grid there that would burn a mass gathering of objects. The Rangers went in stealthy for a reason)

Admiral Carren sent her own message to the other members of the Joint Task Force. "We agree that the Christanan involvement in this situation appears highly suspect, and that their involvement in this matter is undesirable. Besides that, we have nothing new to add."

At the same time, the Beowulf Fleet advanced on towards the remaining enemy vessels at rapid speed. Much of the AI fleet has been devastated already, but at the time of the Beowulf Fleet's advance a substantial number of enemy cruisers remained in a furious resistance against the Centauri vessels. Very quickly the two fleets entered close enough range for them to exchange fire. Initially, it seemed that the exchange was closely matched, but on closer inspection one could see that very little energy fire made contact, and that which did was mostly absorbed by the energy shielding. On the other hand, the Centauri tachyon beams were steadily penetrating the enemy vessels while plasma shards sprayed streams of plasma that could melt away layers of armor and hull if not adequately protected against. It wasn't long before the resistant was completely destroyed, and the Centauri vessels almost completely unharmed.

However, the skirmish did not only take place in the physical world. As the firefight took place, the Praos AI attempted a remote hack of Centauri systems. Though a powerful AI with the numerous resources at its disposal, its architecture was primitive compared to that of the Centauri security expert systems that were used for counter-cyberwarfare by the Centauri. The Praos AI was relentless, trying to exploit every vulnerability it could find in the systems of the Centauri warships, but the expert systems answered every attempted breach with a quick and decisive response. With AI matched against AI, it appeared that the modern and technologically sophisticated Centauri expert systems had won the upper hand. Before long the attempted hack was repulsed, and it did not come to have any real adverse effect on performance in battle.

Stephen removed the control panel and ripped out the defense wiring. As soon as he did it the basic droids fell to the floor in mass number.

"Alright I did it!" Stephen said with a smile.

"I read you but we have a bigger problem, the Heras and friends have begun a invasion force and you and the now dropping Rangers need to get to the center as fast as possible.

In what seemed like a flash the Rangers found themselves on speeders to the main gate of the core ready for the fight of their lives.

(OOC: I have no time right now but I will make a detailed post of the fight when I get back.)

Drone Control Three: This is Drone Control Three, we are engaging enemy air units.

*Thousands of Ordenreich and Praos Drones began engaging one another in the skies over the Praos home world. So much fire and explosions were being exchanged between the forces that it looked like the sky was on fire. Meanwhile on the ground the Heaven's Darkriders made a successful drop but were immediately engaged. Both sides fought tooth and nail for LZ the Heaven's Darkriders established and it looked like the Ordenreich forces would collapse but the Heaven's Darkriders definitely earned their reputation as being the toughest and possibly craziest military branch in the Ordenreich. Reinforcements showed up as Pelicans began deploying Black Hole Legionnaires and Ordenreich Centurions to secure the LZ. The Centurions took the front and their ultra heavy armor shrugged off Praos weapon fire which the Centurions returned with their Reverent LMGs. The Black Hole Legionnaires brought up the rear using their well honed skills to hit the enemy at very precise points to weaken their front.

Order Imperator: Devastator Mode Engaged!

*The Order Imperator's special Typhoon LMG began to lay waste the a whole enemy formation as the special armor piercing rounds made short work of the enemy cover. Just as the Centurions and Black Hole Legionnaires began expanding the LZ the Paladins began to deploy en masse and heavy transports began unloading the various ground assault vehicles of the Ordenreich. Falcons took to the sky and began laying down heavy fire to enemy positions. The Legionnaire medium tanks and Imperator heavy tanks spread out in a defensive line that slowly began expanding while Mako APCs brought up the rear. The Kaiser super heavy tanks proved to be the most devastating of the group as their ultra thick armor made even anti-tank rounds bounce off. Their main gun fired a devastating round that made almost all cover useless (think Mini-Nuke from Fat Man from Fallout). The Kaiser Super Heavy Tanks formed a spearhead with a division of Centurions providing infantry escort. Their goal was to link up with the Heraklean LZ and form a stable front line between the two LZs. The job proved to be the right fit for the unit as very little seemed to stop this division and despite losing one Kaiser tank to massive enemy fire and about a quarter of the Centurion escorts the Ordenreich forces broke through and the Kaiser tanks began firing mercilessly into the Praos forces attacking the Herakleans. (The Kaiser Super Heavy Tank is basically the Mammoth Tank from C&C 3 but with only one cannon instead of two if you want a visual). Meanwhile on the Ordenreich front the Praos and Ordenreich forces fought for every inch of territory and losses one both sides were heavy. For the Ordenreich ground forces it was hell on earth as it seemed like one step forward would be a near guarantee of getting shot but the Ordenreich pushed forward determined to stomp the Praos into the ground. The Ordenreich third wave which included the ground command and control as well as reinforcements began landing and the Ordenreich set up a base camp complete with all the necessary communications and refueling infrastructure needed to carry on the campaign.

Praos FOB: This is Ordenreich-Praos Forward Operating Base. We have successfully secured the LZ and are beginning to make our general push into Praos central territory. Praos forces are to be given no quarter. Chistana forces have been confirmed in this system and planet. If encountered attempt to force their surrender but if they resist you are authorized to engage. Praos FOB out.

*As more Ordenreich ground forces began being deployed the destroyers came in and set up a line to provide close orbital support.*

Praos FOB: This is Ordenreich-Praos FOB. Destroyers have achieved close orbital position to our lines. All Allied forces are authorized to utilize their firepower for orbital strikes against enemy positions. Praos FOB out.

*Finally, as the last of the Ordenreich's command infrastructure was being set up the Ordenreich CQC Channel 34.67 was set up to provide Ordenreich (and possibly allied forces should they choose to listen) forces some music to listen to for the rest of the campaign.

CQC 34.67: This is Ordenreich CQC 34.67 providing all the latest hits straight from Livenstein to you boys and girls out there in the field. Good luck to you to all you Ordenreich and allied forces who might be listening. Fur Den Auftrag.

*The channel then begins playing music*
