( That's cool! ^^ )

The Eldest One gave only a mere nod in observation of K'ijik's ascension into storage. "We are done here, delegate. We'll have a route between the outermost system and this colony. The warp ring shall be modified to accommodate vessels of such.... Magnitude," gestured The Eldest One as he Raised the palm of his reddened hand up toward the frigate. "Our expedition has been a success as of late. Oh, how our Uli'khuun will welcome this opportunity..."

Tendrils protruding from the walls like stalactites twisted into hardened spindles as the exoytosis vesicle began to extend inward toward the Aurelian crowd. Phlegm-like chemicals oozed like molten butter as the muscles began to contract at an increasing pace, closing together any slackened tendon-walls supporting the expanding vesicle.

With that, Talent Zhang nodded to the Eldest One before returning to the vessel along with her two bodyguards, as the vessel's process of exoytosis occurred. It was not too long afterwards that the vessel had been moved outside of the Akath's Death-bane and it thrust itself a short distance away from the Akath's Death-bane before it activated its Alcubierre warp drive, sending it off into space into the direction of Alpha Centauri. After a good hour of uninterrupted travel, the UNS Zhang He arrived at Port Garland and docked there, while the crew was debriefed as Talent Zhang filed her report to Governor Lal. Once she had done so, the information was processed and a purchase of old University optical computers filed, with them being prepared for export to the Aurelians. Some time after the meeting, they would arrive in system ready for collection from the automated shuttle.

Planetary Governate Reports First Contact with the "Aurelians"
Source: Peacekeeper's Newslink

As of yesterday, the Planetary Governate of Alpha Centauri has reported a first contact with a previously unknown race, the Aurelians, of some six million years in age and based on the usage of biotechnology and warp gates for faster than light travel. They are located near the core of the galaxy, as a Peacekeeper surveying expedition encountered one of their colony vessels en route to a new planet. Though the Aurelians were not entirely friendly and revealed the fact that they practiced slavery, a somewhat peaceable first contact was managed by Peacekeeper special diplomatic envoy Talent Zhang, and an exchange of gifts was made. The Planetary Governate has declared publicly that it wished good relations with the Aurelians so long as they do not attempt to extend the franchise of slavery, but that it believed that trade diplomacy would be the best way to change such things.

(OOC: I think the RP should be free for others, now. Smile)

The Bastian exploration fleet in the area, hearing of this news, makes for the system, with a certain Tomasa aboard the flagship.

The A'kath's Death-bane continued to decelerate in a retrograde vector as its methane thrusters continued to slow the gargantuan vessel to more gradual speeds. The proboscises quivered in the cold, harsh vacuum as their subcutaneous nervous systems continued to pick up greater quantities of interstellar hydrogen with each passage: As it so happened with other Core systems, the concentration of stray hydrogen rose with each successive Astronomical Unit closer to the star along with the occasional traces of helium and- less so- lithium. The A'kath's Death-bane's hull pulsated ever so slightly as unusable biological rot exited through the porous chitin whilst hydrogen, carbon, and nitrates were channeled through protein channels into the living ship.

X'lati glanced out through her port-hole screen just as the first of many planets zoomed past: Zilun VIII, a rocky planetesimal of limited atmospheric development, barely moved along as a graveyard planet long ago expelled from its original home system. Seated by the central nervous system of the bridge, X'lati's digits were plucking away at stray tissue debris in repetitive patterns as she manipulated several settings pertaining to the disseminated life support system throughout the colonization vessel: The microscopic relativity cells were producing just enough net gravity to keep the Aurelian-Gol'Azkhorzi occupants from floating off throughout the vessel. Quite an important facet of this mission, indeed, for so few occupants were in hibernation that some of the hibernation pod-rooms were converted into rudimentary dojos for the Tihn'tharin to recall their vicious martial skills upon the surplus slaves born on the vessel.

The bridge itself was now packed with Gol'Azkhorzin and their Aurelian overseers as each of the buggers scurried to and fro under the influence of mind-altering pheromones. Seated at opposite ends of the nerve-layered terminal were S'yla the Younger- X'lati's youngest and only daughter- and the Eldest One who was half-exhausted from reprimanding S'yla on the consequences of reversing the chemiosmotic flow of chemicals between the ship and space in the least profane terms he could muster up.

"Oh, what do I state..." grunted The Eldest One as he glanced back down to some chapter pertaining to an ancient Terran War fought with mysterious weapons... What, exactly, were these armored caterpillars called "Tanks," and why the hell did Old Terran soldiers not fight each other with honorable blades of steel in the trenches all the time? Granted, some sort of weapon called a bayonet was used extensively in the Great War, yet that was it. No more longswords. No more bows. Hell- not even those unworthy subjects called trebuchets!

Nearby, groups of Tihn'tharin began to congregate within an atrium just below the protruding bridge in anticipation of any possible threats.

The Bastian fleet, composed of a half dozen dagger-shaped 600-meter long Cataphract-class destroyers, finally drops out of hyperspace nearby.
"By Draconis, look at the size of that thing!" said Ensign Korba.
"Keep it down, Ensign. We all see it," replied Tomasa. "Lieutenant Pallas, open hailing frequencies."
Tomasa begins speaking, "Greetings from the 2nd Galactic Exploration Fleet of the Bastian Dominion. I am Tomasa, in temporary command of the BDS Charybdis, and knight of the Jedi Order. We seek an audience with your commander."

Received, the transmission was, indeed, as the Death-bane's antennae-coil received the signal hail through its carbon fiber projections jutting out a good ten meters. As for the vessel itself, little had changed since that meet-up with the Centauri delegation days ago: Proboscises continued to stick out like porcupine needles as microscopic pores sucked in interstellar debris for organic respiration, and the section which engulfed the Centauri vessel was- by now- fully healed and boasting an excess surplus of barbs where the sections curved inward. Furthermore, the torus of a warp gate still piggy-backing upon the A'kath's Death-bane's bridge began to glow weakly as dormant photosynthesising cells began to detect increasing UV radiation levels tolerable to the respiratory routes of the vessel. Only two days from its target-destination, the steady stream of expelled methane gave way to intermittent, controlled bursts of gas which provided lesser, long-term thrust to compensate for depleted methane-cyanide levels within the vessel's hull.

Nine minutes before the arrival of the Charybdis in the Zilun system, a growing bulge in the hull of the vessel began to protrude like a cancerous growth as it so happened with routine expulsion of macroscopic waste. Even after the Charybdis arrived in the system, the bulge was no wider than the typical transport vessel, nor was its girth any more pronounced than the lumpy surface of the Death-bane's hull: At this given rate, the vessel was still in the midst of deploying its voluminous cargo just when the signal began to be displayed upon the surface of the vacant display cauldron, where only a menagerie of chained animals awaited the return of the Communications Chieftain and her superior.

---

"Hasten yourselves! We will be at our new home in a matter of several dozen hours or so!"

Cr-ACK!

Nearby, six Gol'Azkhorzin slaves stepped over one of the fallen bodies of their colleague- if such a word could be appropriate- as their exoskeleton-plated hands lifted the contractile muscle of a disassembled acid sprayer up a ramp flanked by two Tihn'tharin guards brandishing deadly, razor-sharpened gladii which bore gold etchings amid the blades' lateral sides. Standing at the top of the ramp, X'lati glared down with seething, disconcerting rage as the buggers stumbled their way up the ramp.

"Hurry, you thralls!" X'lati hissed with bared canines as she backed into the abyssmal, shadowy storage bay of the Y'ittri shuttle, a vastly-smaller cargo transport vessel which, being only two hundred meters long in length, was easily a pinhead on the metaphorical needle of a colony vessel. Cross-weaved flesh provided for natural padding and strength as evident in the elastic, spring texture of the Y'ittri's resistance. X'lati's claws sank into the fleshy body ever so slightly with each and every step.

From outside, the cargo transport was unimpressive compared with the metal-clad vessel many Tihn'tharin still were anxious to see days ago, yet its apparent flimsiness was somewhat reduced with two lateral acid-pod turrets preloaded with caustic acids many sentient biohazards operatives would panic about upon testing Aurelian compounds for toxicity. At least three chitin cylinders were mounted upon the contractile muscle as the semi-aware organisms quivered and oozed unconsciously: Up close, one would be hard-pressed to find that these weapons breathed the same toxic air the Aurelians did.

As for the signal received in the bridge, the Charybdis would, after three minutes, be able to receive an automated string of beacon tones alternating in rapid succession.

*The Ordenreich heard the news via the Galactic Newsnet but declined to comment or otherwise engage in talks with the newly discovered race*

"Translating now," says Lieutenant Pallas.
"Too slow!" Tomasa gets down and begins meditating. The ship itself should suddenly receive a telepathic message repeating the same thing.
