Just as before, the Hildenburen find it difficult to engage in this type of fight. They were winning as long as it was a slugout, but they're losing here.

Some of the Hildenburen ships make to scram, but they're stopped by a flash from the Gar''zhog, who, it looks like, haven't moved in, but have split up to surround the battle at equally placed points.

They've made what is essentially a Tholian Web. A Burninite jumper, though, accidentally passed through it, and was not destroyed. It seems to only affect Hildenburen ships.

They're now trapped, and attacked like a school of salmon by a brigade of sharks.

The Gar''zhog transmit: "So was the last great Hildenburen fleet destroyed, and with it the Hildenburen empire of lies."

The Hildenburen fight like a cornered beast. But they fall. One by one, small allied ships penetrate Hildenburen defenses until the entire Hildenburen fleet lies derelict or disabled. The battle lasts another hour.

The Gar''zhog transmite again: "The people of this galaxy have earned their freedom and the spoils of this battle. You will meet us again when you venture beyond your galaxy. And you shall be greeted as an old friend. Farewell."

The remainder of the Gar''zhog fleet disappears.

*Paladin Komtur Jager looked out over the devastation. It had costed almost half his entire fleet but the Hildenburen lay defeated. As the adrenaline from the fight receded he slumped back into his captain chair with an exhausted and look on his face. There were no cheers among the Ordenreich crew as the fact they had won hadn't sunk in yet. Based off past experiences with the Hildenburen many including Paladin Komtur Jager held on to the belief that the Hildbenburen were still out there and would sent another fleet in shortly despite assurances from their mysterious allies to the contrary. Paladin Komtur Jager took a deep breath then relayed his orders.*

Jager: Sent out probes and rescue teams. Look for escape pods and ships with living crew still in them and extract them. Perform scans on all destroyed Ordenreich vessels and destroy any ships that are beyond saving and represent security risks, leave the hulks for the scrapyard. Also sent fireteams of Paladins and Knights to the destroyed Hildenburen ships and see what we can find. I want anything and everything. Maps, weapons, shields, even if its a Hildenburen can opener I want it. If there are any living Hildenburen crewmen, capture if possible but the fireteams have permission to engage if threatened.

Officer: Yes sir. We will relay your orders now.

Jager: Knight Commander Louis...

Louis: Yes sir!

Jager: You have temporary command of the fleet. I need to relay our report to O.S.S.C. Command and I will retire. I'm about to collapse here. I trust your command ability for this fleet but any major events I want to be appraised of sleep or no sleep. I leave whats important up to your discretion.

Louis: Yes sir I won't let you down

*With that Jager left the bridge to file his report and get some well-deserved shut eye*

Commander Aaron frowned as he surveyed the latest combat reports. Thousands of Centauri fighters and fighter-bombers lost - disposable, yes, though cloning the pilots would be at considerable expense, and the reacquisition of the building materials would not be cheap either. Approximately two-fifths of the Centauri fleet in a state of critical damage, in addition to a fifth destroyed outright - it would take a fair amount of time for the fleet to rebuild. This was, of course, in addition to the several thousands of crew and officers that lost their lives, though they were easier to replace... painful to say, but nonetheless quite true. Still, he could hardly dwell on the matter, and it was necessary to quickly stake the Centauri spoils from the battle and return to ensure the continued safety of Alpha Centauri. Thus, he sent out a brief communication, and went to work issuing orders.

"To all allied fleets: requesting all Centauri vessels be left undisturbed, and the act will be reciprocated with those who comply."

All debris of Centauri origin is quickly beamed into the Centauri warships for extraction of useful material still remaining and salvaging of working equipment. Once that has been completely, they also pull some of the Hildenburen wreckage not currently being examined by other fleets into the cargo holds, for examination by scientific personnel. The extraction is quick, efficient, and completed in just a bit less than two hours, before the Centauri fleet departs for Port Garland.

The Dominion had survived, though for Veridians themselves this seemed like a forgone conclusion from the beginning. Still, regardless of their shameful belief in their superiority, they also felt a sense of pride in their own personal belief that their attack on the Hildenburen had been the turning point. An entire Empire, stretching aeon back in time and having conquered countless civilizations before them, was now gone as far as the Dominion knew. If ever there was an event to stroke their collective egos, this surely was it. Of course, there was some interest still left in the entire affair. After all, they'd also poisoned the Gar''zhog, or so they were led to believe they would by the directions of the Hildenburen. Yet, they seemed unaffected and in truth, completely unaware of the attack. Perhaps the Veridians miscalculated the virus's success of their species, perhaps they were more advance in such an area. It didn't really matter now but still, some minds concerned themselves over it.

What the majority of the Dominion concerned itself over now, however, was clean up. Naturally, the Dominion would have attempted to claim everything in the battlefield as their own given the battle did take place in their claimed solar system. However, the Dominion fleet was all but destroyed and what ships remained were badly damages, if not outright disabled. It was enough to stretch themselves out and reclaim what alien technology they could before they others took what they wanted. Scraps really, but who knows, perhaps very important scraps after their scientists have a full look at it all. Of course the Veridians also possessed the full physiological data on both the Hildenburen and the Gar''zhog, something no other race in the galaxy could claim. Perhaps in time that too, would be of some value but at present the Dominion cared little for what it could have. With the fleets in disarray what they needed now was reconstruction. After all, no one on the planet knew when the next threat would surface.

*After a few hours the Ordenreich fleet finished cleaning up their ships and rescuing surviving crew. The Ordenreich was pretty selective about their picks of the Hildenburen pile. Any ship that looked relatively intact and wasn't already claimed by another power was taken to the fleet and for the rest the Ordenreich sent salvage teams to take what they could and leave the hulks. Once Knight Commander Louis was satisfied that all objectives were complete he got authorization from Paladin Komtur Jager and contacted the Veridians.*

Louis: This is Knight Commander Louis, standing in for Paladin Komtur Jager. All our objectives are complete and we are ready to exit Veridian space. Unless we have further business from you guys we are requesting permission to exit the system. Louis out.

" Knight Commander Louis" a male voice comes over an audio-only transmission, "this is Dominion Military Command. On behalf of the Veridian people and the Dominion, we would like to thank the Ordenreich for their sacrifices here. May our people now enjoy the peace and prosperity that we fought so hard to secure here. Permission granted, may you have a smooth trip home."

The Dominion sends similar transmissions to the other fleets. Perhaps not as elaborate nor as gracious, as the one send to the Sacaens, they are nevertheless still cordial.

The Burninites acknowledge and respond politely as required to the other fleets, but otherwise make no comment, and fairly quickly vanish with the bits of the fleet that they lost along with a small portion of the destroyed Hildenburen ships. The Burninites don't seem all that interested in the available technology. They prefer making off with whatever they can find leftover from the bumblebombs.

(OOC: This RP is pretty much concluded, finally.)
