Long Ago and Far Away (FT)

He nods. "Keifer, Lowbecca, R4, Mission. Watch the ship."

He walks with them to the ruins. Inside is the body of a Jedi knight and a droid. It starts speaking in many odd languages, shifting around until it comes across one Luther understands, ancient Selkath. "I am here to serve at behest of the builders. Seekers of the Star Forge must prove themselves worthy of that knowledge."

Johan says, "How may I prove myself worthy?"

Asurmen activates his personal simmershield when he sees the body of the Jedi. He seems alert, like he perceives every movement around him.

"You must pass the tests in the adjacent halls to proceed." The halls in the left and right will drop droids down to attack as the party or its leader attempts to solve the riddle in the terminal.

Asurmen prepares to fight while someone else solves the riddle. He's no good at riddles.

The droids dropped down from the ceiling attack with freeze rays, blaster bolts, and flamethrowers.

(OOC: Because it's a pain in the ass, the puzzles for the two terminals are "What environments are unsuited for life?" and "What environments are suited for life?" There are a bunch of choices to select.)

When they come down, Asurmen blasts them with his twin Shruiken Long Pistols on automatic. He does try to avoid the flamethrowers, but he lets the rest roll off his simmershield for now.

Johan decides to try using the Force to move rocks to crush the droids.

It works but the droids keep pouring in. Hagen fires off his disruptor, disintegrating many droids.

He grimaces and decides to go for a more efficient method of attacking them with his lightsaber.

He dices them up. More droids come in. Hagen is too busy shooting. Corrina is busy slicing away at them.

Asurmen keeps using the same tactics. Who's solving the riddle though?

Johan doesn't stop fighting and hopes for someone else to answer the riddle.

Hagen finally gives up, fires one more blast, and accesses one of the terminals. He solves the thing, causing the droids to stop dropping in that hallway, and then sprints for the other one. The droids stop dropping down.

"What would you do without me?"

Johan grins, winks, and says, "Saving the galaxy?"

He then continues on.

"Fight," Asurmen responds. He says this as though it were the complete answer to the question.

They walk in and find what was depicted in the vision. Corrina reads it and says, "The map is incomplete. Hmm. Tatooine, Kashyyyk, Manaan, Korriban. These are the worlds they must have visited to find the Star Forge."

Hagen says, "And I'm betting there are more fragments of those maps there. If we piece them together, we can find this 'Star Forge.'"

Johan nods, and says, "I see. May as well go in order. Tatooine, then?"

Face resembling a rather stoney stone, Asurmen says nothing. The wind, somehow existing indoors, ruffles his cape ominously. He says nothing.

They head back to report to the masters. They congratulate them on figuring it out, mourn the loss of the knight inside those ruins, and tell them to go on their way. Vrook does express one bit of concern to Luther, saying, "I fear this quest to find the Star Forge will lead you down an all too familiar path." He refuses to elaborate further. Hagen just mutters about Jedi mysticism and the oddity of sending a neophyte Padawan on such an important mission.

Johan just shrugs, and says, "Let's get going, then. To Tatooine."

On the way to the ship, they meet the Bastian they encountered earlier, who explained that it was a test from her master to see how easy it was to fall to the dark side. She is also assigned to accompany the group. She introduces herself as Tomasa, as her Bastian name is unpronounceable in Basic.

When they arrive, a representative of Czerka tries to make them pay a docking fee of a 100 credits.

Asurmen stares at the representative, face as immobile as a rock.

Corrina gives a little smile and wink to Luther.

(OOC: Try your new found abilities, basically.)

Johan says to him, with no expression, "You don't want us to pay 100 credits. Instead, you want to pay 100 credits to us."
